The bar chart illustrated the quantity of oil extracted by six countries in the Middle East during the period between 1990 and 2010, estimated by millions of barrels per day. As can be seen from the table, while Saudi Arabia holds first place on the list of oil production capacity, all of the countries increased their quantity over the period shown, except Qatar. The number of oil barrels in Saudi Arabia hit its highest level with above 14 million per day in 2010, approximately tripled than 4 million of Iran. From 2000 to 2005, while the oil extraction capacity of Iran remained unchanged at below 4 million barrels per day, there had been a considerable growth of about 3 million in Saudi Arabia. By contrast, Iraq and Kuwait had witnessed a moderate increase from 2 million to 4 million oil barrels per day during the period shown. This went the same with UAE after 10 years stayed at the level of 2 million until 2000.
