The two pie charts illustrate different pollutants entering the ocean at aparticular point in the years 1997 and 2007. Overall, there was decrease in almost all the sources of pollutants at the end of time period compared to the beginning adecade earlier with only one recording an increase percentage wise. The pollutants that recorded an increase in percentage was offshore oil by additional 9 percent at the end than 1997 which was at 5% and sewage domestic pollution from 18% in 1997 to nearly a third of waste ten years later. A downward trend observed in marine to 17% in 2007 from 22% in 1997, insignificant fall by 1% in air pollutants between 1997 and 2007, again litter that contributed 4% in the beginning was eliminated at the end while farm and industrial wastes both dropped by half between the years.
