The bar chart given illustrates how many residences were made per year from 2000 to 2009 in Derby and Nottingham. Overall, it is clear that although most of the time more houses were built in Derby than Nottingham, on a few occasions more houses were made in Nottingham. However, two times, houses in Nottingham city were as low as negligible. To describe, in 2000 and 2001, new houses in both the cities were almost equal, with around 50, but fewer houses in Derby than in Nottingham. In 2002, the trend was reversed and in former, city houses were made around 80, while in latter these were only one forth, about 20. Next year, in 2003, the trend was the same. Suddenly, in 2006, the number of residences in Nottingham fell sharply, with only less than 5 houses. In the year 2008, dramatic changes happened and more than 275 houses were constructed in Derby, which were huge in number in comparison to constructions in Nottingham which had only nearly 5 houses. In the year 2009, most of the houses were made by both cities, with just less than 350 in derby and 250 in Nottingham.
