The first map provided here is the current layout of the Islip town center, however second map illustrates the upcoming development plan of the area. Overall, as per the new plan complete town center will be surrounded by a dual carriageway with major changes planned on the upper part of the town center. The changes planned in the lower part of the town center are comparatively minimal. As per new plan, in the upper part of the town center, the shops area will be replaced with many new spots i. e. bus station, shopping center, a car park, a new housing and pedestrian only road. On the other hand, in the lower part, location of the school will remain same, however the size of the park will be reduced to adjust new carriageway. The housing will also increase to three in comparison to two currently, resulting in additional residential options for the people.
