The two maps illustrate changes to Colwick Arts Centre between 2005 and today. We can see that the major change to this centre was the development of the outdoor landscape. In the past, there was a wasteland outside the centre. During this period, it was spectacularly transformed into an exhibition and performance area with a stage surrounded by seating areas and plenty of lively trees. A central exhibition area was built in the middle of the arts centre. The two galleries were merged into one and moved to the left of the central area. A new cafe is constructed next to the gallery in the place of an old toilet. It was relocated to the bottom right-hand corner and in addition, it decreased in size. In the past, the concert mall and cinema were in one building; however, now they are separated into two distinct blocks and relocated to the top right-hand corner of the centre. What is more, the art centre also developed a new drama studio opposite the cinema. Finally, the information desk still stayed unchanged throughout the years. In conclusion, it is clear that the Colwick Arts Centre has undergone significant changes and expanded during this period.
