The chart shows how many films were premiered each year from 2015 to May 2021 on Netflix. Overall, the number of movies rose dramatically, reaching a peak in 2020 and then they declined sharply. In 2015, there were only 8 movies did receive a premiere on Netflix. After 1 year, in 2016, the figure of movies were increase to 25 movies. The period between 2016 and 2018, there was a three-fold increase in the number of films, from 25 movies to 87 movies. In 2020, it was a new peak, there were around 150 films, twice as many movies were premiered in 2018 compared to 2020. Because we only have 5 first months’s data, we don’t know if the number of movies will continue to go up or not, but with this data, we guess it will be a rise.
