The bar chart illustrates the activities; going to discos, watching television, shopping, playing sports, watching DVDs and bowling, which the teenagers spent doing during the time period of 2002 to 2007 in the city of Chester.
Overall, it was observed that teenagers did not spend much of their time in doing something productive instead they wasted their time on watching television, going to pubs, shopping and watching DVDs. Teens also showed least amount of interest in bowling.
From the year 2002 to 2007, they went wild on watching television (approximately 37 hours per week) and DVDs which was about 16 hours every week in 2004, which somehow got decreased to about 10 hours/week. Anyhow, an increase in going to pubs was observed (16 hours/week) till 2007. Furthermore, in shopping a rise for up to 15 hours/ week was perceived.
However, in meaningful arenas for instance homework and sports activity there was observed a massive fall especially in physical activities which was an hour per week. Moving forward in the homework section the teens spent no more than 6 hours every week in doing it. Lastly in bowling, the teens were seen to be least interested which was figuratively around less than 1 hour per week
