The diagram represents an existing house floor plan and a modified plan to build a more functional home with a compact layout, drawn from the top view.
While the facade of the house is unchanged, the location of the staircase, on entering, is altered. This allows for more open space to soak in the interior of the house when one enters.
The location of the kitchen and the living room remains the same in the proposed plan, with the only and most evident modification in the kitchen being the illustration of its furniture position.
This basic insight of the house also showcases a change in the internal doors of the living and kitchen; the existing house plan has a separate kitchen and living room door, towards the end of the hall walkway while the state-of-the-art plan incorporates a two-door mechanism for the kitchen, leaving the living room to be an open space. The redesigned floor plan now features just one internal wall that separates that staircase and the kitchen, hence doing away with the wall that enclosed the living room. It has also dismissed the provision of storage under the staircase.
The well-demarcated back entrance door, indicated in blue, remains unmodified and the layout makes the most of the home's potential, despite being a 2D blueprint without depth/perspective.
