The diagram gives information about of the cycle of the silkworm life and the stages of how silk cloth is made.
In general, the life cycle of the silkworm consists of 4 main steps from 8 to 10 weeks. Additionally, it takes 5 stages to produce silk cloth.
At the first step, the moth lays its eggs on a leaf. After 10 days, the silkworm larva is born with mulberry left for them to eat. From 4-6 weeks since this moment, the larva starts to evolve their body and leaves their silk thread. In the next 3 to 8 days, the larva turns into a cocoon before become the moth before the next 16 days and restarts its life cycle.
To produce cloth made of silk, worker have to pick the silk thread initially and then boil them in water with a pot. In the next stage, workers unwind the silk thread to 300 to 900 meters. After that, the thread is twisted together and then dye in a different pot with heat before being weaved by workers.
