A striking feature in this chart is that the internet is mostly used by young girls than older age groups in both years. In 2001 there was a rise in the percentage of young ages 16-18 using the internet. However, there was a drop in 2000 for the group ages 16-18. In 2000 there was a steady decline in the percentage of female internet users from age 12-55. In addition, from 56-65+ there was a huge decline in the number of old users. Moreover, in 2001 80% of age group 19-35 were using the internet. There is more female at age 36-45 using the internet at a percentage of 83. There is a noticeable drop from age 45-65+ Internet users in 2001. Overall, the internet is highly used by females and as the age increase number of users decreases.
