These two maps provide some information about the changes which have occurred in Castellón since 2000. Overall, what stands out from the maps is that the city has developed dramatically. It means that lots of differences can be seen in these pictures. However, a few features have not changed yet. Let’s get it started by looking at differences. First, a hall of residence and a new shopping center are seen in the northwest and northeast of the map, respectively. In the east part of the map, a covered market has been founded, and an airport is under construction. Moreover, the train station is replaced with a police station, and there is a new shop instead of old markets. Furthermore, a cinema and some bars and clubs have been built in the south of the city. Additionally, there is a bike rental scheme in the city center, which is just near the new train station. Finally, a new tramline can be seen between the city center and the University, and the road near the city center is not for vehicles’ commuting anymore. However, as it was mentioned before, a few features such as the University in the north and the port in the south are still the same.
