The table below shows the percentage of travellers using various types of transportation in Beijing, Delhi and Seoul, in 2012.
Overall, travelling in the three capital cities in Asia was general popular by using private transport and buses. However, the less common way for transportation in the three places was taxis.
It can be seen that in the three cities between 23% and 33% of people used private transport, while the same proportion of people travelled by bus, which was 27% in each city. As to travel by railway system, was an extremely popular mode of transport in Seoul which accounted for 38% of the total. While in Beijing and Delhi the per cents were 1% and 3% respectively.
It is noticeable that Delhi depended more on walking to travel 35%, as opposed to other cities, whereas this city experienced 0% on using taxis to travel. In both cities Beijing and Seoul, using taxis and walking was relatively unpopular.
Also, it is shown in the table that cycling and other transport did not use by people too much, where the data for cycling were 14%, 6%, 1%, and for other transportation was between 2% and 5% and 3% in Beijing, Delhi and Seoul in the mentioned order.
