The given diagram explains the population development of Chorleywood village since the mid of nineteenth century. Overall, the majority of population has increased in east and south side of the village and there were three types of road ways developed in the mid of 19th century in Chorleywood. According to the diagram, it accounted for less population (1868-1883) in the center of village which was near to the Chorleywood park and GOH course and there were the only one main road in the village towards south-west to north-west. The motor way constructed in the east of the village in 1970, which increases the population in the east of Chorleywood from 1970 to 1994 and this development connected the motor way and main roads. Secondly, railway build in the year of 1909 in the south-west corner of the village and also has railway station along the same direction of Chorleywood. There was a measurable population increased in the east and west of the railway station from 1922 to 1970. This railway system connected people who from east and west of Chorleywood village.
