The diagram illustrates how many people visited four different places including the Louvre, London Science Museum, Vatican Museums and Shenzhen Museum between 1980 and 2015.
Overall, although the Louvre was the most popular visiting place at first, the number of sightseers of the Vatican Museum was almost at the same level towards the end of the survey. In contrast, the London Science Museum and Shenzhen Museum remained the least significant throughout the period.
At the beginning, the ratio of tourists visiting the Louvre was initially roughly 3 million higher than that for Vatican Museum’s visitors. (approximately 8 million and 5 million). However, while the former stayed constant till 1985, after which there was a slight rise by approximately 1 million, then the figure remained static till 1995, which was followed by a minimal plunge again and it peaked at about 8, 2 million in 2000, despite this fact, the rate started to soar significantly to reach its maximum (just about 9, 8 million) in 2015; the latter enormously surged over a period of 35 years and leveled off around the similar position as the Louvre.
Finally, the figure of London Science Museum tourists was a little bit higher than the visitors of Shenzhen Museum. Both of them showed a similar tendency to drop moderately to stabilise a little more than 3 million in 2000, but while the first remarkably plummeted by one million, the last one grew by 1 million in 2015.
