BRITISH EMIGRATION TO 5 COUNTRIES IN 4 DIFFERENT YEARS gY9E7
The bar chart below demonstrates the number of passengers from England traveling to five different countries consisting of Australia, New Zealand, France, Spain and the USA in four years, from 2004 to 2007. Overall, Australia is the most popular destination throughout the period, while the number of people traveling to New Zealand is lower than that of the other countries. As can be seen from the graph, the number of visitors who came to Australia was about 40000 people in 2004 then peaked at over 50 thousands in 2006 before dropping to about 42000 in 2007, which was the highest number of British emigration. In contrast, both New Zealand and Spain’s figures decrease to under 30000 and about 20000 passengers respectively, which is also the lowest in 4 years. The number of visitors to France was over 20000 people emigrating then dipped to under 20 thousands in 2007 after reaching a peak of around 32000 in 2005. Looking at the number of passengers, we can see the USA started with over 20000 in 2004 before falling to under 20000 in 2005 then rose back in 2006. However, that of the USA still went down to 20000 in 2007.
