The given bar graph illustrates the average calorie consumption per person in eight selected countries in 2003 namely USA, India, New Zealand, Somalia, China, Spain, Mexico and Indonesia.
To begin with, it can be seen that the people in the United States had the highest dietary energy intake, which is nearly 3500 calories. Similarly, in the New Zealand there is a higher calorie consumption about 3300 calories. Spain and Mexico followed almost a similar trend in the average calorie intake, which accounted for 2500 and slightly above 2500 calories respectively. Also, Indians and Chinese consumed the dietary energy just above 2000 calories. By contrast, people of Somalia had less intake of calorie that is 1700 calories, as well as Indonesians ingested comparatively the least calories of energy, which is 1500 calories in the given period of time.
Overall, it’s clear that the average calorie intake is the highest in the USA whereas, the least in the Indonesia.
