An analyze of a table that shows the number of men and women in higher education

An analyze of a table that shows the number of men and women in higher education GL0ww
The table is divided in two; the left side is showing the numbers of men and the right side is showing the numbers of women. When we look at the female side, a constant increase is visible both in full-time and in part-time education. There is especially a significant increase between 1980 and 1990 considering full-time numbers of women. The numbers of male students, however, follow a different path. Although the full-time education number has increased over the years, an absolute decrease is visible in the number of part-time male students despite a little increase between 1980 and 1990. A remarkable change can be also seen if we compare the total numbers of male and female students. While the number of male students had exceeded the number of females in 1970, that trend had changed over time and gave way to a female-dominant result in 1990; with higher female students in both education types.
