I am writing with regard to a recent situation that I encountered concerning your airline that caused me great inconvenience and I would like you to take corrective measures that are twofold.
I was due to fly to London yesterday, 21st March 2021 and was booked on British Airways Flight No. 4533 departing Mumbai at 9 am. While I reached the airport well ahead of the departure time, upon reaching the check-in counter I was informed by your airline staff that they could not find my booking, to my great dismay. I presented my ticket and other travel documents as proof of purchase. Subsequently, they asked me to wait till they verified this in their system and confirmed the booking with the airport supervisor. This entire process took an enormous amount of time as the computer servers were down. As a result, I ended up missing my flight.
I was, therefore, unable to attend an extremely critical work-related meeting, which might impact my promotion prospects. Although I explained my conundrum to my superiors, I am not sure they were convinced.
Hence, I would like you to take twofold corrective measures to resolve this issue. Firstly, I expect a written apology from your airlines, which I intend to forward to my seniors, stating clearly that an error in your system caused an unprecedented delay, consequently, making me miss my flight. Secondly, I expect a full refund of my ticket amount as I could not board the flight due to a mistake at your end.
