Dear Sir, My name is Shola James, I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with a persistent issue I am experiencing at my current hostel. During my freshman year, I was assigned to stay in room 15H in New Brunei Hostel and I have been residing there ever since. However, I am a final year student now and that comes with more workload and an added pressure to graduate. Recently, there has been a rapid increase in the number of social events organised in the hostel that generates excessive sound levels attributed mostly to loud music. This unrelenting noise pollution has negatively affected my academic performance of late as I am constantly distracted from my studies by the sound coming from neighbouring rooms. Also, my sleep pattern is now irregular due to constant disruptions, hence adversely impacting my health. Therefore, I request you kindly relocate me to a vacant lodging in Old Brunei Hostel where there is zero-tolerance for public disturbance. The hostel's rules are strictly enforced and students do not violate them. This will significantly improve not just my health but also afford me a conducive environment to study satisfactorily. I await your revert. Yours faithfully, Shola James.
