Dear Mr. Vee, I am writing to get some days off from work. I know there is a presentation coming soon. I do realize that you wanted me to work on it as is immensely important for our company. Unfortunately, I have to fly back to my hometown as my grandfather is very ill. I am interested in getting at least a week off. So, I could go visit my grandfather. Recently, my mom called me and explained that he wants to see me. His current condition is extremely awful. He has stopped eating at all and his medications are not responding anymore. I just want to go and see him. Maybe, I will be able to cheer him up. Hopefully, I would be able to give him a reason to fight back for his life again. I assure you that I will try my best to cover as much as from home. I will stay in contact with my colleagues. As a result, I will not miss any new updates.
