You are unhappy about a plan to make your local airport bigger and increase the number of flights. You live near the airport. Write a letter to your local newspaper

Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing this letter to express my dismay with the upcoming plan which was published in local newspaper. I live in Lemoore which is a small town in California and it is approximately about 60 miles from Fresno International Airport. The town has more than twenty-five population which includes senior citizens and young children. There are two main issues with the plan. First, there will be a lot more noise from arrival and departing aircraft. Second, there will be a massive surge in amount of traffic using nearby roads. Much of the traffic will consist of heavy goods vehicles which are not suited for the roads over here. The article published in the newspaper also mentioned that the main aim for this development is to provide employment in locality. But this is clearly not required, as we already have full employment over here. Such a proposal will lead to enormous problems for the residents residing over here.
