The author of reading asserts that there is some evidence which shows peary reach the North pole. Nrn8W
The author of reading asserts that there is some evidence which shows peary reach the North pole. The lecturer, however, finds the reasons dubious and casts doubts on the grounds proposed by the reading passage. First of all, the writer mentioned that a committee formed that instructed to do an investigation about records of peary. Finally, they concluded that Peary reached the North pole. Conversely, the lecturer brings up the idea that conclusion of committee was not entirely objective. She continues by arguing that members of the committee were close friends of peary who invested a significant amount of money on this project. Therefore, their conclusion was completely bias, and it was not trusted worthy. Furthermore, the reading passage holds the view that recently a researcher conducted the same trek at the same time and proved that it is possible to reach the North pole on the same condition. On the contrary, the professor underlines the fact that this researcher sent his foods by plan, so he had less weight rather than peary; it is not secret that it is much easier to move on the snow with less weight. Besides, weather condition was not as unpleasant as the peary's time. Finally, the author of reading mentioned that there are some photographs taken by Peary. The position of surfs in these photos are on correct position that it should have been at the North pole on the day. The professor, on the other hand, dismisses this idea since surfs position in these photographs is not accurate. Also, these photos are blurry and fussy; thus, it is not clear, and they cannot prove anything.
