I love literati so much but I’d like to acknowledge that their relationship when they were dating wasn’t exactly as goals as most people tend to glamorize it. Jess was emotionally unavailable because of the way he was brought up and he didn’t treat rory right multiple times. But he did change for the better as the show progressed, he wasn’t the same jess who was sent to stars hollow in season 2, episode 5. Rory helped him see his potential and that’s an aspect that I particularly really love about their relationship. They both genuinely want the best for the other person, they push each other to be better versions of themselves, and they never stopped believing in the other person’s abilities to achieve great things in life.
