The reading and the lecture are both about driveless cars. The author of the article feels that is a huge improvement in society having this car. The lecture disputes the claims made in the article. His position is that it won't bring any beneffits. According to the reading driveless cars can be driven without a human through sensors computers, the article mentions that it can be more efficient. This argument is challenged by the lecturer, he states that the car uses computer softwares done by human. Additionally he points out that there's no prove if is safe or not to use a program made it by human casting doubt how safe it is. Secondly, The author suggests that the cars can reduce polution and contribute to the environment. In the article it is said that the car can comunicate with other vehicles managing to decrease traffic and pollution due to the overuse of cars on the rodes. The lecturer, however says that driveless cars won't require a drivers license, resulting on more people on the rodes in addition to no age restriction required to have the car. Finally, the author points that passengers wil have an extra time to watch movies, read and do some extra activities while the cars is driving itself. In contrast, the lecturer stance, is that most people will have a distraction from their routine, resulting on a great amount of people wasting their time. In conclusion driveless cars have pros and cons, it is critically important that the costumers can educate themselves about the beneffits and disadvantage of buying this specific type of car.
