In the initial stage, these breed are known as "Fry" until there size lies between 3 to 8 cm. Afterwards, they swim towards to fast flowing water or lower river where they typically lives for about four years. Although, they are identified as "Smolt" as they grow between 12 to 15 centimeter.
Moreover, after achieving the mid-life stage, they start migrating from fresh water to open sea water where they spend majority of the time span that is nearly 5 years and also there size is upsurged by almost six times. They are now known as "adult Salmon". Lastly, they lay eggs near to the small stones which are found nearby the aquatic plant in upper river and the process repeats again.
