I live in a nuclear family of four people: my parents, my twin brother, and me. We are all very busy people. Both my parents work, my brother and I spend most of our time at school. Therefore, household chores are divided equally among the members of my family. My dad helps my mother manage the household and is responsible for the hard stuff like lifting heavy things and repair work like fixing electricity and mending the table. Moreover, e also helps me clean the bathroom every day. My mom often prepares the meals, plans the menus, and does the grocery shopping. Besides, she also helps me and my brother do the laundry and tidying up the house. My twin brother is in charge of helping my father with doing simple home repairs and lifting heavy stuff. He is also responsible for sweeping and mopping the floor and taking out the rubbish. Being the elder child in the family, I take up a large share of housework. I do most of the cooking and washing the dishes. I also lay the table for meals, clean the refrigerator once a week and clean the bathroom. Sometimes, I take turns cleaning the floor, folding the clothes, and taking out the rubbish. Every member of my family is willing to do their share of household chores since it brings a cheerful positive atmosphere.
