The diagram illustrates the process of papermaking and recycling. The diagram has two parts. The first part is showing the preparation of paper from tree woods while in the second part it is showing the way how from old used newspapers again new usable papers are made. Overall, five steps are needed for making the paper starting from the plantation and for recycling six steps. Both the making and recycling processes require various mechanical processes to produce papers. The plantation of Radiata pine is the first step for paper preparation. The woods from these trees are used for making papers which starts with thinning the trees. After thinning its woods, those were put into debarking drum where barks are separated from the woods. Afterward, the de-barked woods were put into the chipper to crash those properly. Finally, woods from the chipper go through the thermomechanical refiner, and papers are Produced by using paper making machine. The papers those are made from the woods of Radiata pine trees used for various purpose. News is printed on them which we call the newspaper. Again, old newspapers are collected from kerbsides. After collecting the used papers, those are again going through different machinal steps for recycling, those are de-inking, cleaning, and fine screening respectively. Lastly, those papers go through the thermomechanical and recycled pump mix to make usable papers by using paper making machine again.
