Overall, holiday took the biggest chunk among the reasons given by travellers, while on the other hand, western Europe was clearly the most preferred destination.
To begin with, holiday was at 15746 people, dropped to 14898 persons in 1995 then it took consistent growth upto 20700 in 1998. Bussinnes had an upward growth throughout, from 3155 poeple in the first year to almost 4000 persons 1998. Visit to family and friends followed closely as third most preferred reason for travelling started at
2689 responses then droped by about 60 responses followed by an upward trend to 3181. Other reasons formed the least among them at averagely 1000 people every year.
Western Europe, being the most preferred destination throughout the season, started by almost 20000 people, slightly dropped to about 17000 persons in 1995 then continued with upward trajectory to nearly 25000 people. This was followed by other destination areas constantly remaining at around 2000 people from 1994 to 1998. The least visited place among the sampled travellers was North America. It was at about 1000 persons although with growth which grew to nearly 2000 people in the end year.
