This chart shows the number of subjects in thousands chosen by students in 2005. The chart groups the volunteers according to majors and divides these major groups into males and females. There are clear differences between males and females. According to the chart, the sciences, mathematics, literature and law have more male students than girls, while the social sciences, languages and the arts have more female students than males. The number of male students in humanities is approximately as many as females. The most male volunteers are for science with number of just over 20 thousands, and the lease ones are for languages with the number of just under 3 thousands, however the most female volunteers are for social sciences with number of over 24 thousands, and the lease ones are for mathematics with number of under 5 thousands.
