The two plans show some changes that were made to the City Library over a ten-year period starting in 2004. Overall, the basic shape of the library is the same, but there have been some significant alterations to the internal layout. In 2004, in the general collection, there were 4 sections including fiction, non-fiction, children’s and magazines. After 10 years, the movies and computer games zone has been added which laid next to the magazines section on the right handside. Turning to the 2014 map, in the western part of the library, the store which sold gifts has been demolished and transfered into the computer and media room. The new gifts store is joined with the art gallery, later that section is moved to the academic journals’ previous zone in the 2004 to allow for a bigger technology room in the northern part. Focusing on the opposite area, now there has been a café shop opened in front of the gallery and gifts store, with the new performance area outside the library. Yet there have been some alternations made inside, the main entrance and the reception desk have been still kept in their prior locations.
