The three pie charts illustrate, how much fund the UK spent on different running costs in three separate years 1981, 1991and 2001. In general, there are two trends: upward and downwards. In all three years, the greatest expenditure was on Teachers’ salaries, the least cost was Insurance. In 1981, teachers’ pay remained the biggest cost (40%) then it is increasing 50% of total spending in 1991. Expenditures on other workers’ salaries at 28% and Resources such as books 15% in 1981, both gradually fall to 22% and 20% respectively in 1991. At the same time costs of the furniture, equipment, and Insurance dramatically increased following to 3% and 23%. Resources and Furniture & equipment were spent equal proportions by 15% in 1981, the former was slightly rose by 5% however the latter has dropped to 5% in 1991. There was significant growth in Furniture and equipment from 5% in 1991 to 23% in 2001. Similarly, the cost of insurance saw a small rise from only 2% to 8 % by 2001. Whereas the other three expenditures decreased, compared the period of 1991 to 2001. Overall, Teachers’ salaries consulted the largest cost to the school, and while spending increased dramatically on equipment and insurance, there were corresponding drops in expenditure and other workers’ salaries.
