In 2002, the number of average hours in full time work in Germany, which was the biggest, was 42. 5 hours for males and nearly 40 hours for females, followed by Netherlands which accounted for 38 hours for both. Meanwhile, this figure for the UK was 37 hours for women which was slightly lower than that of men with 37. 8 hours. All in all, men contributes more hours to work as compared to women.
With regards to the figure for part time working hours, Germany still stood on the top with 30 hours for females and a little bit lower for females.
