The table illustrates the amount of carbon dioxide China, United states, Russia, India and Japan produced from 2017 to 2018 by tonnes. Overall, China and the United States had the highest production in 2017 and 2018. By 2017, the number of carbon dioxide released per person in the United States was highest. In 2017, only 6. 6 tonnes of carbon dioxide were produced per person in China, while that in the United States were 20. 1 tonnes per person. India placed third in the table and got about 15 tonnes. Both Russia and Japan had the same figure, 10 tonnes of carbon dioxide were made by 1 individual. During 2017, the number of carbon dioxide manufactured in China was lower than that of the United states, by 5310 and 5694 million tonnes respectively. However, next year, in 2021 the figure of China rose 11% to 5694 million tonnes, whereas in the United States that number only growed for 2% to 5568 million tonnes. Russia and Japan are the two countries that had no significant difference in the production of carbon dioxide. In India, there is a slight increase to 8% in the number of carbon dioxide between 2017 and 2018, from 1259 to 1359.
