Overall, the number of sales of Fairtrade-labelled coffee witnessed growth in all five countries while there are some downward trends seen in the number of bananas were sold in two countries named Sweden and Denmark. Looking at coffee’s turnover, the sales of Switzerland achieved 3 million euros while in the year 1999, followed by around 1. 8 and 1. 5 million euros in the number of Denmark and UK in that order. The lower numbers were seen in Belgium and Denmark with 1 and 0. 8 million euros at the same year. Moreover, after five years, the sales of UK rose up and become the most nation earned from sales of coffees, with 20 million euros. Also, the other countries just grew about 0. 2 to 3 million euros in the sales of coffee. Regarding banana’s sales, in the year the 1999 sales of UK earned 15 million euros which was highest compared with 2, 1. 8, 1 and 0. 6 of Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland and Belgium respectively. The year 2004 saw upward trends in the banana sales of UK, Switzerland and Belgium of 47, 5. 5, and 4 in that order while the opposite were true in the number of Sweden and Denmark which were decreased by about 1 million euro over the period.
