The table provides information regarding 4 specific reasons (Desire to see a specific performer/artist, Accompanying children, Special occasion, Work/business) for which adults in the UK attend art festivals 20 years ago, 10 years ago, and in the present day. Overall, a majority of the adults in the UK go to art events due to the desire to see a specific artist while the number of adults accompanying children has also increased over the years. Adults attending these events for special occasions or celebrations have decreased over the time period. 58% of the adults attended artistic festivals to see a specific performance or an artist 20 years ago. This fell slightly to 55% but has increased to 56% in the present day. Only 9% of the adults accompanied children to arts 20 years ago. This rose to 15% after 10 years and to 24% in the present day. 27% of the adults in the UK attended arts for special occasions 20 years ago. The numbers fell to 20% 10 years ago and have now further declined to 9% today. Only 6% of the adults went to art events for work or business-related reasons at the beginning of the time period. The proportion increased to 10% in 10 years ago and is presently at 11%.
