The table below shows the percentage use of four different fuel types to generate electricity in five Asian countries in 2005. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The following table illustrates the proportion of usage of various fuels to produce electricity in Asian countries in the year 2005. Overall, petroleum products were not used much compared to others in areas of Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea and Japan. In contrast, Malaysia and Singapore had its percentage of fuel the highest of coal and lignite. For the production of electricity, Thailand has not used any nuclear fuel whereas coal and lignite with petroleum products and hydro and wind combine to more than half of the total percentage. Therefore, with hydro and wind and petroleum products have the same share of fuel in Singapore and Japan with 3% each respectively. However, Other and Hydro and wind comprising 62% is nearly equal to the percentage of coal and lignite used in Malaysia. South Korea and Malaysia having the same share of fuel of about 5% in coal and lignite and hydro and wind respectively whereas the highest usage of fuel among others is consumed by Malaysia and Japan in coal and lignite and nuclear with 61% and 49% respectively.
