The table illustrates the several commuting modes who used to travel in England between 1985 and 2000. The data given in average distance in miles per capita per year. Overall, it can be seen that the car had a highest proportion of distance covered by person in the both year 1985 and 2000, however the least proportion of used to by people was taxi. Although, in 1985, the bicycle and long distance bus was accounted just over 50 miles and also taxi was only 13 miles, which transporting modes were minimal person preferred. In 2000, the bicycle was no far different than taxi and long distance bus had increased almost double that used by each. Moreover, in 1985, a person who covered their distance by local bus and by walking were 429 and 255 miles respectively and then in 2000, which was decline trend by 274 and 237 miles. In addition to, the majority of travelling mode car was 3199 miles per individual who covered in whole year after then it added by approximately 1700 miles in 2000. The train and other, in 1985 were 289 miles and 450 miles single year travelled by one person and which trend was soar to 100 miles in 2000. Further more, the total modes was accounted 6475 miles per head in 2000 whereas before 15 years, those modes plummeted by nearly 1600 miles.
