The presented bar chart depicts the percentage of women being out of work in four countries of the UK in 2013 and 2014. Overall, there was an upward trend in the proportion of jobless women in Scotland whereas the opposite patterns were seen in the remaining states. As can be observed from the chart, England was the country which had the highest rate of unoccupied women among four countries making up the UK with 6. 8%, followed by Scotland with 6. 1% women not working in 2013. The next year, there was a slight decrease in the figure of women out of jobs in English by 0. 3%. By contrast, Scotland was the only country to experience a growth rate of 6. 7%, exceeding that of English to become the largest percentage of female unemployment. Besides, the data of jobless women in Wales was 5. 4%, minimally lower than that in Northern Ireland by 0. 2% in 2013. However, a significant increase was shown in the rate of idle women in Northern Ireland from 5. 6% to 4. 6%, making it the country with the lowest female unemployment rate of the four given areas in the UK.
