Overall, as can be seen from the charts, the two countries witnessed significant differences in terms of places to access the news. While the majority of citizens of both countries prefer TV and Internet, which comprised over three-quarters of their population, newspaper, radio and other sources accounted for a minor proportion. One of the most prominent features is that in Nigeria, TV is the dominant first news provider, which is more than doubling the figures of Germany with 63%. On the other hand, newspapers tend to be the most prevalent tendency in Germany, its ratio accounted for 45%, roughly over three times that of Nigeria. With regards to the other methods of getting the news initially, there is an exact 10% of the German population getting current affairs through the radio, less than half of Nigerian radio listeners. Nevertheless, the Internet and other categories of sources in Germany tend to be more prevalent than they are in Nigeria, which accounted for 11% and 4% respectively, while Nigeria just experienced a tiny amount of 1% of their civilians connecting to those sources.
