The contrast diagrams illustrate how the construction of a hydroelectric power dam can change the structural scenario of a town over 20 year period, from 1990 to 2010. Overall, it can be clearly seen that the most noticeable change that occurred in the town was the appearance of a huge lake. Additionally, the forest and farmlands had completely disappeared by 2010. In 1990, there was a river flowed from South to North bisected the town where was full of ancient structures and natural greenery. However, with the construction of a dam wall, those features disappeared beneath a large lake, which also became a fishing area in 2010.
