The given maps depict how Felixstone was designed in 1967 and 2001. In general, by introducing more amenities, we can observe that Felixstone was substantially facilitated for tourism. In 1967, there was an agricultural real estate to the north-east of Felixstone, however, this was transformed into a commercial complex, which involved a hotel, swimming pool as well as two tennis courts. In addition, the marina, pier and fish market in the south-east of Felixstone was demolished in 2001 for the establishment of a public and private beach. In contrast, the central cafe and the golf course, which was located in the north-west, retained from 1967 to 2001. Adjacent to the golf course was the complex of departments stores in the High street, in which shops on the left were modernized but others were converted into apartments. To the south-west of Felixstone were dunes and forests, which were retained unchanged in 2001. However, an establishment of wind turbines took place in the south of those natural settings. Furthermore, the hotel in the centre of Felixstone was renovated in 2001 and had a large car park being added.
