The map illustrates changes in a city in 1950 and now. In 1950 the city was very small and the population was only about 20000 people. We can see that it included a few major roads that lead to this city, a little business district in the middle of the city. On the border of the city, there was a residential area, and also one bridge that connected government building with the city through the river. The airport in the city in 1950 was extremely far away from the city. But now it is obvious that the city has become larger. We can notice there appeared an artificial lake in the middle of the city which divides the city into two banks, as a result, there has been built a dam that avoids flooding. Besides, the number of bridges increased from one to two. There added up some new major roads. More areas added up to residential and business areas. The airport became bigger and closer to the city, in comparison with 1950.
