The line graph illustrates the older generation were passing their time by doing five various activities over 30-year period, from 1980 to 2010. It can be seen that despite some fluctuations in the given time, overall interest in each activity were increased, except theatre.
To start with, watching TV was the most popular activity (60%) among all the oldies in 1980, this percentage was gradually grown till 2000, after that it dipped to 64% by end of the third decade. On the contrast, a least people were surfing the internet in 1980, in 20-year period, a percentage of using the net had steadily increased and reached to 50%. However, the percentage of hiking was stood at 20 at the beginning of 1980, which followed drastic inclination to reach 80% in 2010, it was four time higher than the before.
The theatre and a reading had more erratic patterns from other three. In 1980, theatre was the second highest favourable activity, but over a decade, this number declined to 30% and peaked a surge again to 45% in 2010.
