The above maps show the Islip town center as of now and the plans for its development. It is clearly visible that a lot of changes have been planned for the Islip town center. The main road which is currently passing through the town center will be converted to the pedestrian. The shops which are on the south of the main road will remain unchanged. However, the shops which are on the north side will completely be redesigned and will be converted to the Bus station, Shopping center, and car parking. Some of the space will be allocated to the New houses as well. Furthermore, the path to the school will be extended and converted to the Dual carriageway to connect to the main road. A similar carriageway will also be created in the countryside. However, the park will be redesigned and some of the areas will be allocated to the new housing. Overall, the shops on the north side will be completely re-designed and the main road will be converted to the pedestrian. The dual carriageway will be created around the town center.
