The line graph illustrates population growth and its projections for three countries (China, India and USA) and one continent (Europe), in the period of 100 years. Since 1950, the population in every teritorry has increased. In the starting year, China began with the highest number of people, approximately 550 million, and it was followed by Europe with 500 million and India with around 300 million people. China’s and India’s population skyrocketed over the years, reaching roughly 1300 and 1250 million in 2020. At the same time, the number of people in United States increased gradually. In the present time, USA has around 300 million citizens, and it is projected that this number will continue to rise. On the other hand, Europe’s population peaked in 1990, and after that it leveled off. Today, this continent has around 100 million inhabitants more than it had in 1950. The projection is that its population will start to decrease. When it comes to China and India, it is estimated that their population will increase further, but with a little change. The number of people living in China will start to drop from around 1400 million in 2030, and the it is forecast that this number will continue to fall gradually, reaching 1350 in the final year shown. Furthermore, India’s citizenry will outnumber China’s around 2035, and it will peak at 1500 million in 2050.
