Additionally, the figure for car in most years is the highest common vehicles during the period shown. In the 1970-2000 period, the number of people using cars and trains dramatically increase, nearly 7. 000. 000 and 3. 000. 000 respectively. In the same year, the number of commuters who use bus slightly lower than that of the number of commuters using cars and trains, stand at approximately 4. 000. 000. This figure for bus still above 3. 500. 000 in 2010 while the number of people moving by cars and train remain relatively stable at around 7 million and 3 million respectively, then are project to reach a peak of in 2030. Over the next 20 years, the number of workers in UK going by cars more enormously climb than people who use trains.
