The graph presented at chart 1 shows the opposite trend of change in annual expenditure on cell phone and residential phone services by US consumers over the 2001-2010 decade. At the beginning of the decade, the difference between expenses made between residential phone services and cell phone were drastic, being apart on a $500 range. As the cell phone industry continued to be more user friendly and offered more services with time and development, the curve shows a steep rise in expenditure committed over time. Whereas, the expenditure alloted for residential phone services continued to decrease consequently. At some point of year 2006, the expenditure costs made annually on the two services were identical, between $500-$600. The recorded annual expenditure on cell phone services at 2010 shows value between $700-$800, highest value committed over communication purpose. However, the residential phone services have reached a lower point of $400 at 2010, which is fairly higher than the lowest expenditure beared after cell phone services during 2001.
