The line graph illustrates the state of pollution in London by comparing the presence of Sulphur Dioxide and Smoke, micrograms per cubic metre from fifteen hundred fifty to two thousand. Overall, over the years the pollution levels show a significant incline followed by a significant decline. Sulphur Dioxide levels in the atmosphere have increased dramatically from zero micrograms per cubic metre to a peak of seven sixty in seventeen twenty five followed by a slight decline in seventeen fifty and further increases to another peak of around eight fifty in eighteen fifty. Similarly, smoke has experienced a gradual increase from slightly above zero in fifteen seventy to approximately four forty micrograms per cubic metres between eighteen fifty and nineteen hundred. On the contrary, Sulphur Dioxide and Smoke experience a significant decline in the year eighteen seventy, from eight hundred and four forty to a startling zero in two thousand. Although both of them had various fluctuation between nineteen hundred and nineteen seventy but the overall trend was a decline. In the year two thousand, London experienced the cleanest air with zero levels of pollution as Sulphur Dioxide and Smoke levels were null.
