Overall, over the years the pollution levels show a significant incline followed by a significant decline. Sulphur Dioxide levels in the atmosphere have increased dramatically from zero micrograms per cubic metre to a peak of seven sixty in seventeen twenty five followed by a slight decline in seventeen fifty and further increases to another peak of around eight fifty in eighteen fifty.
