The line graph illustrates the four groups of age in terms of yearly cinema admissions from 1997 to 2009. Overall, it is clear that the four categories of age experienced different trends in the time period given. While the figures for the number of people aged 15-24 was by far the highest among the other groups, the age between 25 and over 45 saw some changes over time. With regard to the age 15-24, starting at 60 million in 1997, the number of cinema visitors fluctuated at around 50 million people to 60 million people until the year 2008, and then gradually increased to over 60 million after 2009. Meanwhile, citizens aged 25-34 years old stood at 40 million people and leveled off from 1997 to 2001 and fluctuated slightly between 40 million and 50 million until 2004. After that, there was a significant decline of cinema goers to under 30 million and started to increase steadily by approximately 10 million in 2009. Concerning the age between 35 and over 45, it was 20 million cinemagoers at the beginning of the period. The number of people aged 35-44 witnessed a considerable growth to 30 million, but then fell to 25 million in 2003. Afterward, it began to experience some moderate fluctuations between 25 million and 30 million until the end of the period given. In stark contrast, the old moviegoers aged 45 and over stood at 20 million people in 1997and doubled over the next 7 years. From 2004 to 2006, it moderately dropped at around 35 million. Since then, it experienced a remarkable increase and reached roughly 50 million and fell by 10 million in the year 2009.
