the graph below show the number of complaints received by a local newspaper based in London from 2012 to 2017 gA79d
The line graphs illustrated the proportion of a local London newspaper’s receptions of complaints over a period of 5 years starting from 2012. It is evident that the complaints were the most popular, but were replaced by the email complaints in the final years. The email figure showed an upward trend over the period. In contrast, the number of newspaper complaints by letter decreased significantly during the time. The figure for complaints by telephone was the highest with about 900 and a little higher than the letter figure in 2012. There was a slight fall one year later, before increasing dramatically to more than 1200 until the last year. Conversely, the complaints by letter were 800 in the initial year and went down slightly over the next two years. After which, there was a considerable drop until 2016. The figure remained almost constant at 400 at the end of the period. Starting at just about 300, the number of email complaints was much lower than two others in the first year. Then, it grew marginally to 400 in the next year. After that, the figure soared dramatically and became the highest in 2016, with a consecutive rise between 2013 and 2017.
